
Aston Rowant NNR (English Nature)
The national nature reserve at Aston Rowant is located on the Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire border. This reserve has two car parks one situated on the East of the M40 and one at Cowlease Wood on the West of the M40. Access to the reserve is from a local road from the A40 between the junctions 5 and 6 on the M40.
The reserve is run by English Nature who in conjunction with the RSPB hold Red Kite walks around the reserve.
Red Kites and other raptors including Kestrel and Buzzard can be seen frequently from either side of the reserve at Aston Rowant. The reserve is made up of Chalk meadows and beech woods making the reserve an excellent location to see a selection of all types of wild life.
